EuroHealthNet will attend the European Social marketing Conference

24 September 2014 to 26 September 2014

EuroHealthNet will participate in the European Social marketing Conference organised by the European Social Marketing Association and the Social Marketing Quarterly (SMQ).

Social marketing is an approach to health promotion that seeks to develop and integrate marketing concepts with other approaches to influence behaviors that benefit the well being of individuals and communities.

The primary aim of social marketing is "social good" and can be applied in large scale, broad-based, behaviour change focused programmes, to prevent cardiovascular diseases and improve public health .

Social marketing is also being explored as a method for social innovation, as a core skill for public sector managers and social entrepreneurs. It is being viewed as an approach to design more effective, efficient, equitable and sustainable approaches to enhance social well-being that extends beyond individual behaviour change to include creating positive shifts in social networks and social norms, businesses, markets and public policy.
