North of England EU Health Partnership's position on the revision of the tobacco directive - March 2013

The North of England EU Health Partnership (NEEHP) [formerly the North West England Health Brussels Office] has developed a position related to the revision of the Tobacco Directive in cooperation with partners from within the North of England Health economy.

In its position, NEEPH highlights the key messages related to

  • Nicotine Containing Products [NCPs]: e-cigarettes
  • Water Pipe and other niche tobacco
  • Fight against illicit tobacco
  • Novel tobacco products
  • Labelling and packaging

The North of England EU Health Partnership (NEEHP) is one of EuroHealthNet's Member Agency.

It is an expansion of the North West Health Brussels Office, operating since 2004 in the North of England. NEEHP assists organisations to explore opportunities and impacts of European Union (EU) policy, legislation and funding that may influence health, and which may provide opportunities to health services and organisations responsible for public health, in the North of England.
