Publishing policy summaries, analyses, and consultation responses

EuroHealthNet provides analysis of policy developments at European, national, and regional levels. The policy team monitor emerging national and European trends and data, and are able to inform members about forthcoming policy changes and trends, helping partners to effectively respond and react. For example, short, topical policy precis, published throughout the year, highlight key issues, present the latest related evidence and research, and describe the best practices and policies from Europe and member states. EuroHealthNet also conducts an annual review of the European Semester and Country Specific Recommendations, in addition to assessments of individual policy changes on a year-by-year basis.

We issue responses to consultations and statements on relevant topics such as the European Pillar of Social rights, the European Semester and Country Specific Recommendations, mhealth, research, the solidarity corps, and youth policy.

Policy partners also influence joint statements such as the REJUVENATE statement on health promotion, which has been presented in several international publications and events such as the 9th WHO Global Conference.

All responses, statements, and analyses can be found in the publications section of the website

Making links between policy makers, practitioners, and research

EuroHealthNet stresses the importance of ensuring policy is joined-up and based on good evidence and practice. This requires clear and structured dialogue between policy makers at all levels- and from many fields- with researchers and public health practitioners.  EuroHealthNet provides a space for this dialogue by organising meetings, consultations, and events throughout the year.
