Lina primarily works on the practice platform where she contributes to all aspects of EuroHealthnet’s commitments to the Joint Action CHRODIS Plus, the EU action supporting Member States in alleviating the burden of chronic diseases. She also organises country exchange visits among the organisation's members.
Lina joined the team in September 2018. She has three years of experience working in political environment, communication and project administration in nonprofit, public and private sectors. Lina acquired sound knowledge of European and regional governance at the European Commission (DG SANTE) in Luxembourg and at the European Regional and Local Health Authorities (EUREGHA) in Brussels.
Prior to joining EuroHealthNet, Lina was a research assistant at Instinctif Partners, a public affairs consultancy in Brussels, where she worked on policy issues related to health, energy and environment. She has also been assisting in the day-to-day management of the Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Networks-Europe (GAMIAN-Europe).
She is a political scientist with specific training in politics and government in the European Union. Lina holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. During her studies in London, she was one of the founding members of the 1989 Generation Initiative, an open policy network mobilising a new generation of Europeans to rebuild the European Project.
