The theme of this country exchange visit is health inequalities and vulnerable groups. We will focus on people with chronic diseases including people with chronic mental health problems, and discuss de-institutionalisation, care, and social inclusion. In addition, we will explore how related EU policy processes may support this work at national, regional and local levels. Participants will also be able to visit a day care centre for psychosocial rehabilitation in Sofia.
This visit is kindly hosted by the Bulgarian Centre of Public Health and Analyses. The purpose is to exchange good policies and practices among a selection of senior European colleagues.
The Country Exchange Visit will take place on Tuesday 13 November (all day) and Wednesday 14 November until 15:00. Please note that all participants will be required to invest some time in preparing for the event, for example, by presenting information from your country.
The Country Exchange Visits are held in English. Unfortunately, no interpretation service will be available. Due to the interactive nature of Country Exchange Visits, it is therefore advised that the representative attending feels comfortable exchanging information in English. Travel and accommodation will be covered by EuroHealthNet.
