EuroHealthNet supports the conference, organizes and moderats a plenary session on “Healthy People, Healthy Planet”.
Persistent social inequalities and environmental degradation are affecting health and wellbeing of the population. Health is a condition for, and outcome of, economic and social development and is intrinsically linked to the environment. Sustainable development and public health share many common goals, which will be explored in this plenary session.
A link will be made to the theme of the world exposition EXPO 2015 on Environment, Food and Nutrition in Milan.
The EPH Conference aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research as well as public health training and education in Europe. It will be held in conjunction with the 48th National Congress of the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI), creating the largest public health event in Europe.
