EuroHealthNet participated in the Active Healthy Ageing Slovenia Conference (AHA-SI) in Ljubljana, together with its Slovenian member NIJZ, in work led by our Executive Board member Mojca Gabrijelcic.
Clive Needle co-moderated a policy maker session featuring two national ministries and two EC Directorates, while Ingrid Stegeman and Cristina Chiotan are responsible for the evaluation of the two year process, which is co-funded by the EU Progress Programme. The aim is to bring forward integrated evidence based recommendations, firstly for national programmes and policies, but also to share learning internationally and contribute to the overall EU Semester processes.
The impressive event demonstrated more active participation than ever before from ministries, municipalities and experts in five main fields: health, social affairs, retirement, employment and economics. Draft recommendations will be discussed in autumn, with conclusions to be disseminated, including by EuroHealthNet, in early 2016.
