Over the summer, EuroHealthNet (supported by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment of the Netherlands (RIVM)) carried out a public health foresight exercise, to help us and the Partnership unpick the complexity of the new public health landscape, and analyse how public health and health inequalities may change in the future. This exercise, undertaken with many EuroHealthNet member organisations, included an online survey as well as a digital workshop.
These inputs served to shape the EuroHealthNet & RIVM “Public health foresight in light of COVID-19” report. Alongside the key findings of the survey and workshop, the report includes a series of recommendations directed at international, EU, national and regional policymakers, public health institutes and civil society organisations.
Prior to launching the report, we are inviting the EuroHealthNet partnership to come together to discuss these recommendations, deciding whether they are appropriate and reaching an agreement on the immediate next steps. This debate and prioritisation exercise will help to finalise the report and draw out the key messages which will be publicised, but also identify concrete further actions needed to implement the recommendations. It also hopes to inform members’ strategies and their work going forwards.
Participation in this event is limited to staff of organisations in the EuroHealthNet Partnership. If you are interested in attending, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
