EuroHealthNet responds to EaSI ex post evaluation and EPMF final evaluation stakeholders’ open consultation
This public consultation aimed to inform the ex-post evaluation of the Employment and Social Innovation Programme (EaSI) and the final evaluation of the European Progress Microfinance Facility (EPMF), covering five criteria — relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence and EU added-value.
In its response, EuroHealthNet notes that in the future, EaSI should respond to the rise in social inequalities in health – not directly associated with healthcare systems and services, but rather living and working conditions across lifecourse and social gradients. Moreover, during the 2014-2020 period covered by the EaSI programme, it became clear that inequalities within and between Member States and population groups were only slightly improving, but not fast enough and not for all equally. While gains were being made in some areas, progress in others was plateauing or reversing – such us in life and healthy life expectancy, occupational psychosocial health, poverty and social exclusion.
