In memoriam of John Ryan, a true public health champion

It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of our friend and public health champion, former DG SANTE Deputy Director General, John Ryan.

John’s legacy within our community spans an incredible 25 years, during which his tireless dedication has left an indelible mark on our collective pursuit of better health for all. We were privileged to work with John through our advocacy towards the European Commission as well as events and projects.

John’s dedication to advancing public health policies was unparalleled, and his legacy will endure in the very fabric of our work. From all of us at EuroHealthNet, we send our deepest sympathies to John’s family, friends, and all those who had the honour of working alongside him.
