Joint Open Letter to EU Leaders on the EU Strategic Agenda 2024-2029

EuroHealthNet joined civil society stakeholders and organisations representing cities and regions across Europe in urging EU leaders to prioritise a socially fair and green climate transition in the upcoming 2024-2029 Strategic Agenda.

As Europe faces an increasingly complex environment, it is crucial to address key drivers such as competitiveness, energy, security, and global engagement within a forward-thinking strategy that ensures the lasting wellbeing of all Europeans.

We strongly recommend prioritising the ongoing development of a climate-neutral, green, fair, and socially inclusive Europe, while emphasising public funding, robust economic governance, and a forward-looking EU budget. Urgent attention is needed for pressing social and democratic issues, as is adopting an international relations strategy focused on fostering lasting security and solidarity.
