Launch of WHO factsheet series on environmental health inequalities (EuroHealthNet speaking)
The fact sheet series on environmental health inequalities is produced by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health Inequalities at the Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research of the University of Bremen, Germany, and follows up on the 2 European assessment reports on environmental health inequalities published by WHO/Europe in 2012 and 2019.
The launch event will bring together different actors and sectors involved and interested in environmental conditions, social protection, health equity and environment and health inequality data and statistics.
Speakers at the launch event will include
- Professor Sir Michael Marmot (University College London, United Kingdom)
- Professor Gabriele Bolte (University of Bremen, Germany)
Additional comments and insights on environmental equity monitoring and action will be provided by the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, as well as the Senate of Berlin (Germany), Sciensano (Belgian Institute for Health) and EuroHealthNet.
