Interest in social prescribing is growing across Europe, but what does it actually take to develop and implement social prescribing in practice?
Join us for the first webinar in the SP-EU webinar series, an interactive space for sharing experiences, lessons learned and practical insights from the Social Prescribing EU (SP-EU) project.
SP-EU is exploring how social prescribing can improve access to health and care services for people in vulnerable situations across Europe. The project brings together co-creation with communities, randomised controlled trials and comparative qualitative research to better understand how social prescribing can work across different contexts.
What will we discuss?
In this first webinar, SP-EU partners will share their experiences of:
- co-creating social prescribing with the communities concerned, including practical lessons from the process;
- establishing and launching randomised controlled trial (RCT) hubs to study social prescribing in different European settings; and
A substantial part of the webinar will be dedicated to discussion and audience questions, giving participants the opportunity to exchange directly with SP-EU partners.
Who is the webinar for?
The webinar is particularly relevant for practitioners and organisations developing or implementing social prescribing, as well as researchers, students, policymakers and European or national initiatives working on social prescribing, integrated care, health inequalities, community-based approaches and access to care.
Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance when registering, helping us make sure the discussion responds to the issues and challenges that matter most to those working in the field.
This webinar is organised by EuroHealthNet as part of the SP-EU project, funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
The Social Prescribing-EU initiative is committed to advancing social prescribing (SP) to improve access to health and care services for vulnerable populations across Europe.
Focusing on LGBTIQ individuals, refugees, first-generation immigrants, and older adults living alone, SP-EU seeks to co-create and evaluate tailored SP approaches that address the specific needs of these groups. By combining randomised controlled trials, qualitative research, and policy action, the initiative aims to set a new standard for inclusive, community-driven health and care solutions.
