2nd International Meeting of Arts Prescribing in HealthCare
Following the success of Prescribing Arts 2024 in Thessaloniki, the second International Meeting on ‘Social and Arts Prescribing in Health Care’ will bring together health professionals, policy-makers, artists, and arts managers to explore the intersection of art and healthcare. The meeting aims to profile successful arts prescribing practices, present evidence on the impact of arts interventions, and discuss guidelines for implementation across Europe.
The programme will cover five key areas: in-evidence (research), in-practice (programmes), in-policy (guidelines), in-education (training), and in-experience (workshops). Sessions will include keynote lectures, expert roundtables, oral presentations, interactive poster sessions, and hands-on workshops, complemented by a social and cultural programme showcasing Greek hospitality. Proceedings will be published in a special issue of Frontiers in Psychology.
The meeting also features the first National Delegate Summit on Prescribing Arts, coordinated by Bea Walker. It is supported by the National Academy for Social Prescribing (UK), with Charlotte Osborne Ford as co-chair of the Scientific Committee. Contributions are invited across healthcare areas ,including oncology, cardiology, chronic disease, neurological and degenerative diseases, geriatric care, child and adolescent health, palliative care, and medical education.
Call for abstracts is open until 1 October 2025.
