An International Benchmarking Study. Public Sector Performance 2022-2025 (EuroHealthNet speaking)
European Institute of Public Health (EIPA), in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands, will present the findings of a comprehensive benchmarking study assessing public sector performance across 35 countries. The study evaluates effectiveness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and public trust in key policy areas, including health, sports, and social security systems. Some of the key topics are:
- Performance trends and best practices in health and sports
- The role of public policies in improving long-term life expectancy
- International best practices in social security systems
- Practical applications of benchmarking tools for policy development
Why is it important for health?
The study highlights how well-designed health and social policies contribute to better health outcomes and longer life expectancy. By examining trends across countries, the benchmarking study identifies best practices in healthcare delivery, sports and physical activity promotion, and social security systems.
A key focus is addressing health disparities by improving access to services and reducing administrative burdens. The findings will inform policymakers on effective strategies to enhance public health and ensure equitable healthcare access.
