BlueAdapt Symposium: Reducing Health Risks in Coastal Waters

The symposium will begin at 9:30 AM BST for those in person, and at 10 AM BST online.
The morning session will be hybrid, followed by lunch at 1:00 PM BST. The afternoon session will be in-person only, and will conclude at 4:30 PM BST.
Topics will include:
- What are the health risks of swimming in contaminated coastal waters?
- What are the links between coastal water and antimicrobial resistance?
- Perspectives from policy
- Where are our case studies across Europe?
- How can we respond to protect people’s health?
This event is open to anyone interested in the topics of climate change, pollution, coastal waters and human health. For example you may be involved in public health, conservation, policy making, local government, NGOs, community groups, research or be an interested member of the public.
