Calling on the EU: Protect children in the occupied Palestinian territory and Israel
EuroHealthNet and co-signatories of this Joint Statement urgently call on the EU to respond to the escalating crisis affecting children in conflict zones. We strongly condemn the abduction of Israeli children by Palestinian groups in Gaza and express deep concern about the significant loss of Palestinian children’s lives in attacks on civilians, including women and children in hospitals and schools.
We emphasise the need to end the suffering of children, condemning the rising casualties, abductions, and attacks on vital infrastructure. Our coalition of 20 organisations is worried about the suspension of aid, despite critical needs. Therefore, we urge the EU to demand an immediate ceasefire, ensure the protection of civilians, and facilitate safe access for humanitarian aid to safeguard the lives of countless children.
