Challenging big industry narratives: alcohol, tobacco, unhealthy food and drinks: population measures and policies
Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia
On behalf of the FILTERED Consortium Partners*, The European Alcohol Policy Alliance (Eurocare) and the Youth Health Organisation (YHO) present an invaluable opportunity to gain insights from effective strategies in reducing the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, and unhealthy food and drinks. It provides a platform for policymakers, advocates, researchers, patients, youth, and health practitioners to collectively address the challenges of reducing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by effectively managing their primary risk factors. It is the first time that all three of the major NCD risk factors have been addressed at the same time.
This event is a chance for the social and health sectors to come together and speak with one voice in order to effectively combat the powerful commercial impacts on health and guarantee appropriate regulation of these products.
