This GÖG-Colloquium will explore Marmot Places, a UK initiative addressing social and socio-economic determinants of health to reduce unfair health inequalities. Led by the Institute of Health Equity under Sir Michael Marmot, Marmot Places works with regional and local actors to implement evidence-based strategies, promote system change, and establish new standards through cooperative and interdisciplinary approaches.
Speakers include Jessica Allen (UCL Institute of Health Equity), Ruth Glassborow (Public Health Scotland), Nicola Ainsworth (Luton Borough Council), and Chimeme Egbutah (Public Health Service Manager, Luton), who will share strategic perspectives and practical experiences from different levels of implementation.
The session will be moderated by Marion Weigl from the Austrian National Public Health Institute.
