Housing and Food: Communities and local governments driving fair sustainability transitions
Europe’s long-term wellbeing depends on fair and locally driven sustainability transitions. This policy dialogue series will explore how housing and food — our most essential human needs — can serve as powerful entry points for achieving sustainability and fairness across communities.
Organised by ICLEI Europe and ECOLISE, the event will feature two stand-alone yet connected sessions on sustainable housing and food systems. Participants will discuss how European civil society and local governments can shape the EU’s Affordable Housing Plan, Agriculture and Food Policy, and future budget frameworks to deliver fair, community-led transitions.
Open to local authorities, civil society organisations, EU institutions, and individuals interested in sustainable housing, food systems, and equitable development.
