Webinar: Shifting the focus of health and economic policies: Investing for sustainable health and wellbeing (EuroHealthNet speaking)
As part of the lead-up to the 18th European Public Health Conference in Helsinki, this webinar will explore the main theme of the 2025 event: ‘Investing for sustainable health and well-being.’ Organised by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and the Society for Social Medicine in Finland, the webinar series highlights key topics ahead of the conference.
The first webinar of the series will focus on the wellbeing economy and the economic benefits of investing in health systems, as well as how EU-level policies can support healthier and more sustainable societies. It will also revisit discussions held during the 2024 EPH Conference in Lisbon.
Speakers include Otto Kyyrönen (Finnish Federation for Social Affairs and Health), Caroline Costongs (EuroHealthNet), and Luigi Siciliani (University of York). The session will be moderated by Ilmo Keskimäki (THL).
EuroHealthNet will contribute to the discussion with insights on EU-level action to support sustainable wellbeing.
No registration is required to attend. Join the webinar on Thursday 24 April at 14.00 CEST on Teams! (link here).
